Prof. Fidelis Oditah KC, SAN

Chairman

Professor Oditah is the Chairman of the Board of Vetiva Capital Management Limited. He is a qualified Nigerian and English Lawyer. He was educated at the Universities of Lagos and Oxford and began his legal career at Oxford University, England in 1989 after his doctoral degree. He taught corporate finance, corporate insolvency, company law, contracts and Trust for many years before going into full-time commercial practice in the City of London at South Square Chambers, Gray’s Inn, London, where he practised as a commercial barrister providing transactional advice, drafting and litigation services to clients, both in England and abroad. In 2003, he was appointed a Queen’s Counsel (QC) in England and on his appointment in 2004 as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), the Nigerian equivalent of an English QC, he set up ODITAH with some of his Lagos-based colleagues. Professor Oditah has extensive knowledge and practical experience of Nigerian and English commercial law, banking and finance, corporate law, energy and natural resources and insolvency. He has advised oil and gas companies, banks, multinational companies and small businesses on various aspects of Nigerian commercial law and practice. He provides immense value through his practical and authoritative advice, hands-on approach, accessibility and his great understanding of the marketplace.

Chuka Eseka

Group Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Chuka Eseka is the Managing Director of Vetiva Capital Management Limited. He is an investment banker with extensive experience covering merchant and investment banking activities. He is a graduate of accounting from the University of Lagos, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He is also an authorised dealer of the Nigerian Exchange Limited. Mr. Eseka has successfully managed the emergence of Vetiva into one of the most respected, innovative and efficient investment banks in Nigeria. Mr. Eseka is especially formidable in deal origination, structuring and execution and is vastly experienced in corporate restructuring/repositioning as well as privatisation advisory structures; having been involved in a number of significant transactions in the financial services and real sectors of the Nigerian economy. He is highly experienced with numerous path-breaking transactions for ICON, BGL, and Vetiva over the past 33 years.

Ade Odunsi

Non-Executive Director

Mr. Odunsi is a Non-Executive Director of Vetiva Capital Management Limited. He holds a degree in Economics from Essex University and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He commenced his working career as a trainee Chartered Accountant at BDO Stoy Hayward’s London office, where he rose to the position of Assistant Manager. In BDO Stoy Hayward, he was involved in financial auditing, contract negotiation, management buy-outs and also played a critical role in the development of internal control and reporting systems within the oil and gas industry. Subsequent to a stint as Internal Auditor at the National Audit Commission in the United Kingdom, Mr. Odunsi moved to the Isle of Man’s offices of Sahara Energy Resource Limited, where he served as the pioneer Chief Financial Officer, with the overall responsibility for the Finance, Internal Control and Strategy Directorate. He continues to handle tasks involving raising lines of credit, price exposure risk management and hedging on major international petroleum exchanges.

Halimat Kyari

Non-Executive Director

Ms. Halima Kyari is a Non-Executive Director of Vetiva Capital Management Limited. She has 30 years of invaluable experience in the Banking Sector, with specialisation in private banking, treasury, financial & multilateral institutions financing, and strategic management. She holds a BSc. in Business Administration from the University of Southern Indiana, USA, and an MBA from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Halima has held various management positions across top tier banks in Nigeria including Access Bank, Union Bank and First Bank of Nigeria amongst others. She is currently a member of the board of directors of Craneburg Construction Company Limited, an Honorary senior member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and a member of the Money Market Association of Nigeria.

Olayode Delano

Non-Executive Director

Mr. Yode Delano is a Non-Executive Director of Vetiva Capital Management Limited. He is a distinguished Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) with over 40 years’ experience in corporate and commercial law. His practice spans capital markets, corporate finance, complex commercial arbitration, and litigation, with particular expertise in the financial services, construction and energy sectors, and corporate advisory. He holds degrees in Law and in Business Administration & Finance from University College London and Imperial College London, respectively. He has led advisory mandates on landmark capital market transactions, corporate restructurings, and cross-border financings, and has represented institutions in high-stakes arbitral and court proceedings. Mr. Delano brings a strategic, risk-focused perspective grounded in deep legal and regulatory insight. He is a member of the Capital Market Solicitors Association, International Project Finance Association, International Bar Association, and the Institute of Directors, Nigeria.

Oluwadamilola Ajayi

Executive Director

Mr. Ajayi is an Executive Director of Vetiva Capital Management Limited and serves as the Vetiva Group Chief Operating Officer. He has over 23 years of experience in the Nigerian Capital Market and is known for his expertise in the Exchange Traded Fund (“ETF”) industry. He led the Vetiva team for the first ever ETF listing on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, the NewGold ETF. Subsequently, he led the Vetiva team in the listing of the first equity backed ETF, Vetiva Griffin 30 Exchange Traded Fund. He was also instrumental to the listing of the Vetiva Sector Series ETFs and the Vetiva S&P Nigerian Sovereign Bond ETF. His professional career began at Arthur Anderson & Co (now KPMG) in 1999 and cuts across institutions such as SecTrust Limited (now Afrinvest Limited) and Future View Securities Limited. Mr. Ajayi holds a BSc. in Computer Science from the University of Ibadan, as well as a Financial Planning Certification from Florida State University, Florida, U.S.A. He is Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

Oyelade Eigbe

Mrs. Oyelade Eigbe is an Executive Director of Vetiva Capital Management Limited and serves as the Vetiva Group Coordinator Client Services, ensuring clients across the group are provided with efficient service, appropriate investment & financial solutions and that clients’ needs are anticipated with timely and suitable product development. She is an Investment Management professional with over 15 years of experience covering Asset Management, Equities Research, product development and business development. She has worked with diverse groups of investors and has managed portfolios for Ultra High Net Worth Individuals, Family offices, Multinational institutions and corporates. She provides investment management and financial planning services to Corporates and individuals as well as operates mutual funds and exchange traded funds. Oyelade has also been actively involved the development of the Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) industry in Nigeria through her involvement in the listings of the suite of Vetiva’s ETFs (including the first equity ETF to be listed in Nigeria – the Vetiva Griffin 30 ETF, and the first bond ETF to also be listed in Nigeria - Vetiva S&P Nigerian Sovereign Bond ETF) and other ETF listings (NewGold ETF, a gold backed ETF managed by ABSA Capital).
