Chairman
Professor Oditah is the Chairman of the Board of Vetiva Capital Management Limited. He is a qualified Nigerian and English Lawyer. He was educated at the Universities of Lagos and Oxford and began his legal career at Oxford University, England in 1989 after his doctoral degree. He taught corporate finance, corporate insolvency, company law, contracts and Trust for many years before going into full-time commercial practice in the City of London at South Square Chambers, Gray’s Inn, London, where he practised as a commercial barrister providing transactional advice, drafting and litigation services to clients, both in England and abroad.
In 2003, he was appointed a Queen’s Counsel (QC) in England and on his appointment in 2004 as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), the Nigerian equivalent of an English QC, he set up ODITAH with some of his Lagos-based colleagues.
Professor Oditah has extensive knowledge and practical experience of Nigerian and English commercial law, banking and finance, corporate law, energy and natural resources and insolvency. He has advised oil and gas companies, banks, multinational companies and small businesses on various aspects of Nigerian commercial law and practice. He provides immense value through his practical and authoritative advice, hands-on approach, accessibility and his great understanding of the marketplace.
