To use
WebPay Online, you need to have a debit card from any of the Interswitch member Banks where you have an account (savings or
current).
Interswitch's WebPay serves as the payment gateway and is designed
to leverage on the switching infrastructure that exist between
Interswitch and its connecting banks.
When a subscriber chooses to fund account Online by filling his/her
transaction details on Vetiva's portal e.g. amount to
pay, his/her request is redirected to Interswitch and a WebPay
dialogue box appears, containing a form to collect the details of
the subscriber's debit card and a transaction number is
generated. This encrypts the PIN and the debit card information and
transfers the encrypted information to the Interswitch's WebPay
server.
The subscriber's debit card information is further encrypted and
sends to the Super Switch for onward routing to the appropriate bank
for authorization and approval.
Vetiva's portal then query the WebPay web service to retrieve the
status of the transaction depending on the response from the bank to
the Super Switch and take the appropriate action based on the status
of the transaction
Interswitch is responsible for authentication of debit card
information. Their WEBPIN security solution ensures that the card
information especially the PIN is encrypted right from the
subscriber's browser to the Interswitch's WebPay server.
Steps to make payments online:

Fill in your
transaction details.

Submit to see
the summary of your transaction.

Check to
confirm accuracy of your transaction.

Click the back
button, should you wish to change any details.

Click on Submit
on the Transaction Summary page and wait for the Interswitch
payment page.

On the
Interswitch payment page, enter your debit card number and PIN
and click on 'Pay'.

You will
receive a confirmation page of your transaction status.
